Position Overview:
This is a high-growth, high-visibility position in engineering the next generation of enterprise class software solutions at ADP. The individual's primary responsibilities will be to work within an agile group to development mobile and executive reporting applications across the Drive platform. The candidate will be responsible for (design, coding, testing) of the next generation of data visualization software for key auto dealership personnel. The individual will need to be able to present his views to not only team members, but also upper management.
Employ agile development methodologies to provide creative solutions to complex requirements across large enterprise-scale projects. Will function within a small agile development team and may take on added responsibilities within the team as appropriate.

  • Provide creatively designed functionality within a mobile development environment.
  • Experience working in multiple mobile JavaScript environments including Sencha and Jquery.
  • Experience in development of Multi-tenant / SaaS applications.
  • Provide high level expertise in data reporting and performance design
  • Including data modeling to make effective business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for sharing and utilizing functionality across boundaries, thus extracting maximum benefit from the organization
  • Analyze organization's business requirements for design and implement change as required.
  • The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum eight years of experience in software development. Minimum three years of experience working with JavaScript library development using PHP.
  • Experience working in a business application development environment using an agile methodology.
  • Minimum of 6 years PHP development experience
  • Minimum of 2 years JavaScript development
  • Experience working with multiple RDMS' (preferably using PostGreSQL).
  • Experience working with BI tools for report / data visualization.
  • The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of the multiple tasks assigned to him/her and see each of those tasks through to satisfactory completion.
  • The candidate must be motivated to excel in their career and in their job. Self-motivating and excellent communications skills are mandatory
  • Ability to understand business processes and translate business needs into appropriate data solution.
  • Highly refined communication skills including facilitation, presentation, and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal communications, writing and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in development process
  • Support Product Owner in requirements development, research and verification.

The Senior Director of Product Management Absence Management is the senior product owner responsible for product direction and management for ADP's Absence Management products and services. The senior product owner will provide oversight of multiple product owners and lead the team in achieving on-time, on-budget releases that attain commercial success in the market. Leads the team of product owners who are responsible for market-sensing activities to understand market requirements and deliver comprehensive product solutions that delight end users. Helps lead product launch activities and ongoing market-facing support. Helps develop and manage strategic partnerships where appropriate with external software/service providers. Additionally, the senior product owner will function as a day to day product owner for select product features.
1. Responsible for overall product management of Absence Management product(s). Identifies and develops product strategy and requirements and evaluates their potential and practicality by analyzing market and customer needs through direct client interaction, market research and interfacing with sale, service and IT. Where appropriate, helps develop strategic partnerships with software/service providers and manages existing relationships with alliances as they relate directly within respective domains.
2. Leads the team of product owners who are responsible for full Product Lifecycle Management of Absence Management product(s).
3. Acts as a Primary Product Owner and interface with development for select product features. Responsible for product roadmap definition and prioritization. Acts as User Champion when coordinating product development with Business Stakeholders and aligns all development activity with business goals and priorities.
4. Directly responsible for SCRUM teams, including feature/requirement definition, use cases, delivery management and ongoing quality management. Manages the product backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement). Works day to day with the product SCRUM teams to clarify requirements and accept final user stories. Balances business needs with technical requirements, and recommends alternative technical approaches to meet design requirements when needed.
5. Supports all product launch and market-facing support activities. Serves as the key client facing contact for the product as well as subject matter/technical expert to the external client, marketing, sales and service organizations on all matters related to the product(s). Works with marketing, sales and service on the development of product positioning, demo design, training courses, sales collateral, etc. to ensure that business objectives are achieved.
6. Will have direct reports and will manage a complex matrix organization including IT, Service and Sales.
Experience, Skills, Academic:
Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent in education and experience.
  • MBA and/or advanced Technical Degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in a market-facing software and enterprise solutions product role around Absence Management.
Leadership experience, previous experience managing small teams; as well as experience working with Agile methodology strongly preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams to accomplish project goals.
Must be capable of managing multiple stakeholders on the best course of action for the product.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required.
Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally.
Ability to implement concepts, ideas and plans while functioning in a flexible, constantly changing environment necessary
Must be a strong collaborator, team player as well as an individual contributor.
